This ceramic mural "Helios in Transit" was commissioned for the Herbert Herman Cancer Center at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI.  The inspiration is the sun rising or setting, which represents the beginning of a new era or the end of one.  I wanted this piece to create a space for moment of quiet contemplation for patients and their families as well as staff and visitors.
